General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Maria Leona Retreats

By accessing and using Maria Leona Retreats services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this agreement. In addition, when using specific services, you are subject to any applicable guidelines or rules. Participation in any Maria Leona Retreats experience constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using our services.
 

1. Accuracy Disclaimer

This website and its content are provided for informational purposes only. Maria Leona Retreats makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information presented but assumes no responsibility or liability for the completeness, accuracy, usefulness, or availability of any information published on this website.
 

2. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, text, images, graphics, and materials displayed on this website are the property of Maria Leona Retreats unless otherwise stated and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.
 

3. Payment

All payments must be made in Euros (€) and within the agreed payment deadlines.

Maria Leona Retreats reserves the right to cancel a booking if payment is not received by the stated due date. Failure to complete payment does not release the participant from their payment obligations.

If full payment has not been received before the retreat start date, Maria Leona Retreats reserves the right to refuse participation without affecting its right to receive full payment.

Any reasonable collection costs incurred after payment reminders may be charged to the participant. Statutory interest may apply to overdue payments where permitted by law.
 

4. Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation by the participant, the following refund policy applies:

• More than 16 weeks before the retreat start date: 50% refund

• More than 12 weeks before the retreat start date: 25% refund

• Less than 8 weeks before the retreat start date: No refund

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
 

5. Rebooking

If a participant requests to transfer their booking to another retreat date, a rebooking fee of 10% of the booked accommodation category rate may apply, subject to availability.
 

6. Changes to Terms

Maria Leona Retreats reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on this website and become effective immediately upon publication.
 

7. Event Changes and Cancellation by Maria Leona Retreats

Maria Leona Retreats reserves the right to modify retreat schedules, activities, teachers, accommodations, or venues if necessary.

If a retreat must be cancelled due to insufficient participation or unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a refund of payments made directly to Maria Leona Retreats. No additional compensation, including travel expenses or consequential costs, shall be payable.
 

8. Travel Responsibility

Participants are solely responsible for arranging and maintaining valid passports, visas, travel documents, and meeting any entry requirements for their destination.

Participants are also responsible for arriving at airports, transfer points, and retreat locations on time.
 

9. Independent Third-Party Services

Maria Leona Retreats acts solely as a retreat organizer and coordinator.

Accommodation providers, transportation companies, yoga teachers, excursion operators, caterers, wellness practitioners, and other service providers may operate independently from Maria Leona Retreats.

Maria Leona Retreats does not own, manage, or control such third-party services and accepts no responsibility or liability for their acts, omissions, negligence, delays, failures, accidents, injuries, or losses.

Any agreements relating to third-party services are entered into directly between the participant and the respective provider.
 

10. Transport Delays

Maria Leona Retreats accepts no responsibility for delayed, cancelled, rerouted, or missed flights, trains, buses, ferries, transfers, or any other form of transportation.

Participants are solely responsible for making suitable travel arrangements.
 

11. Accommodation Changes

If a participant voluntarily changes from a higher-priced accommodation category to a lower-priced category after booking, no refund of the difference will be provided.

Accommodation upgrades may be possible subject to availability and payment of the applicable rate difference.
 

12. Health and Safety

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically and mentally fit to participate in retreat activities.

Individuals with injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, allergies, or other health concerns should consult a qualified healthcare professional before attending.

Participants must follow all health, safety, and facility guidelines provided by Maria Leona Retreats and its partners.
 

13. Personal Belongings

Participants are solely responsible for their personal belongings throughout the retreat.

Maria Leona Retreats accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
 

14. Assumption of Risk

Participants acknowledge that yoga, fitness activities, excursions, outdoor activities, travel, and wellness practices involve inherent risks.

Participation is entirely voluntary and undertaken at the participant’s own risk.
 

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maria Leona Retreats shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from participation in a retreat.

Maria Leona Retreats shall not be liable for injuries, illnesses, accidents, property damage, travel disruptions, personal losses, or damages caused by third-party providers.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, liability shall be limited to the total amount paid by the participant for the retreat.
 

16. Complaints

If a participant has any concerns or complaints during the retreat, they are encouraged to notify Maria Leona Retreats promptly so that a reasonable effort can be made to resolve the matter.

Complaints submitted after the retreat may limit our ability to investigate or address the issue effectively.
 

17. Force Majeure

Maria Leona Retreats shall not be liable for cancellation, delay, interruption, or modification of services resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters

• Extreme weather conditions

• Pandemics or epidemics

• Government restrictions

• Civil unrest

• War

• Terrorism

• Strikes

• Transportation disruptions

• Utility failures

• Other force majeure events

In such cases, refunds cannot be guaranteed. Alternative arrangements, credits, or transfers may be offered at the discretion of Maria Leona Retreats.
 

18. Insurance

Participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance, including:

• Travel cancellation insurance

• Medical insurance

• Accident insurance

• Personal liability insurance

• Coverage for personal belongings

Maria Leona Retreats accepts no responsibility for losses that could have been covered by insurance.
 

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Spain.
 

20. Health Requirements and COVID-19

Participants are responsible for complying with all health, vaccination, testing, entry, and travel requirements applicable at the time of travel.

If a participant is unable to attend due to illness, including COVID-19, no refund shall be due except as provided under the cancellation policy.

Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain suitable travel cancellation insurance.
